The creative pull.

Mary and I share really, really long voice memos back and forth with each other. Most of these voice memos are from October, while the footage is from late summertime, when Mary and Grant had spent the whole month of August living in my neighborhood in Mobile, Alabama. The morning we went to the beach, they found out that they were pregnant; I had no idea.

Like that moment, this past year has been a deeper unfolding of what I feel like is the brink of it all. Do you know what I mean?

Maybe the pull is creating art from the process of creating art.
